The International Green Key Coordination is responsible for:
• encouraging new countries in the FEE network in implementing the programme;
• assisting national implemention;
• ensuring coherent development of the programme;
• working with the International Steering Committee and reporting to the Executive Board;
• leading audits and control visits;
• fundraising;
• developing cooperation with between international partners
• working with International Hotel Chains
• representing the programme at events and trade fairs

The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is a non-government, non-profit organisation promoting sustainable development through environmental education.
FEE is an international umbrella organisation with one national member organisation per country representing FEE on the national level and in charge of implementing FEE programmes nationally. FEE currently has 74 member organisations in 64 countries worldwide.
